Getting started

Set up Discord credentials

Each bot needs a Discord Application ID and Bot Token. You can create a Discord application in the Discord Developer Portal.

How it works

  1. 1In the Discord Developer Portal, select New Application and name it.
  2. 2Copy the Application ID from General Information.
  3. 3Open the Bot tab. Create or reset the bot token, then copy it and store it securely; don't share it in chat.
  4. 4In OAuth2 → URL Generator, select the bot and applications.commands scopes, choose the permissions your bot needs, then use the generated URL to invite it to a server.
  5. 5Enter the Application ID and Bot Token in FlowBot when you create or host your bot. Hosting verifies them with Discord.
